Our model
Awesome Human operates as a for-profit business with a formal social mission.
- All revenue flows through the our product sales, online directory (coming soon) and festival.
- Our operational costs are covered.
- 50% of our profits fund the Awesome Human Community.
The Awesome Human Community removes barriers to support by sponsoring mental health sessions, neurodivergent assessments and reports, research, advocacy work, and connection initiatives.
Why it started
Awesome Human was born from lived experience and from recognising how often that experience is dismissed.
After navigating systemic barriers and being denied practical supports due to “insufficient evidence,” founder Kacie saw firsthand how many families were facing the same obstacles.
The issue wasn’t a lack of need. It was a lack of flexible, community-led response.
Awesome Human began as a way to wear values visibly, but it has grown into something larger:
A social enterprise that transforms everyday purchases into funded support, local connection, and advocacy grounded in lived experience.
